This legal issue compounds the existing struggles Monarch is facing, which include multiple rounds of layoffs and the closure of its manufacturing facility. The Foxconn manufacturing contract loss has further deepened the company’s challenges, prompting a significant business pivot. With the manufacturing of autonomous electric tractors proving unsustainable, Monarch has shifted its focus towards a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, aiming to license its autonomy software.
