A maker project that converts a common decorative lightbox into a functional LED matrix display using daisy-chained 32×8 LED matrix modules, an ESP8266 microcontroller, and MAX7219 display controllers. The setup provides a 64×24 pixel display across three rows, controllable via Wi-Fi using the LedFX DDP protocol or a custom Python library called Pixel Yeeter. The lightbox housing doubles as a diffuser and wall-mountable enclosure, giving the build a polished, intentional look. All project files are available on GitHub.
