MITdesignX, the venture accelerator founded in the School of Architecture and Planning, has completed its first program in Dubai, working with early-stage ventures focused on sustainable growth of urban environments. The program received over 100 applications and selected 12 teams to participate. MIT students were embedded with each team during a period of intensive work, offering a tech background and fresh perspectives. The program aims to build a better world by addressing important problems in cities and creating viable business opportunities.
