MIT has launched the MIT4America Calculus Project, a program where MIT undergraduates and alumni tutor US high school students in calculus via weekly Zoom sessions. Currently working with 14 school districts across the country, the initiative deploys 30 undergraduates and 7 alumni as trained tutors. Supported by the Siegel Family Endowment, the program targets districts that already offer calculus but need additional support. Beyond exam prep, the project emphasizes mentorship and community building, with plans to expand to 20 districts and develop online learning tools.
