Mistral announced Mistral Forge at Nvidia GTC, a platform enabling enterprises to train custom AI models from scratch on their own proprietary data. Unlike competitors that rely on fine-tuning or RAG, Forge allows full model training, offering better handling of domain-specific and non-English data, reinforcement learning for agentic systems, and reduced dependency on third-party providers. Mistral provides forward-deployed engineers to help customers with data pipelines and evaluations. Early adopters include Ericsson, the European Space Agency, ASML, and Singapore's DSO. The company is targeting governments, financial institutions, manufacturers, and tech companies, and is on track to surpass $1 billion in annual recurring revenue this year.
