Mistral AI acquired French cloud startup Koyeb to strengthen its AI infrastructure capabilities. The acquisition brings Koyeb's serverless platform for AI workloads into Mistral Compute, enabling developers to deploy AI applications without managing underlying infrastructure. This move is part of Mistral's broader strategy to build a European AI stack independent of U.S. hyperscalers, following their €1.2 billion data center investment in Sweden.
