Microsoft is overhauling its Windows Insider Program to make it simpler and more transparent. The four-channel structure is being reduced to just two channels: Experimental (replacing Dev and Canary) and Beta. Users will also gain more granular control over preview features via a new Feature Flags system on the Insider Settings page, and switching channels or leaving the program will become easier.
