Microsoft is rolling out File Explorer improvements to Windows 11 Insider Program users in the Release Preview channel. Changes include launch speed and performance enhancements, likely tied to background preloading. Microsoft is also improving reliability when stopping the explorer.exe process after closing windows, and expanding fixes for the known bright white flash bug in dark mode (originally introduced by KB5070311). Additionally, the new Xbox mode is now available on Windows 11 PCs, offering a full-screen gaming interface accessible via the Xbox app, Game Bar settings, or Win+F11. These updates are available in builds 26100.8313 and 26200.8313.
