Microsoft introduced a new policy in Windows Insider build 26220.7535 allowing admins to remove the Copilot app from managed devices, but with significant restrictions. The RemoveMicrosoftCopilotApp policy requires both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Copilot to be installed, the app must not be user-installed, and it cannot have been launched in the last 28 days. Even after removal, users can reinstall the app themselves. The update also extends AI-generated image descriptions via Narrator to all Windows 11 devices, not just Copilot+ PCs.
