Microsoft has integrated Anthropic's Claude Cowork into Copilot Cowork as part of Microsoft 365 Copilot Wave 3, enabling long-running agentic knowledge work tasks. The system uses contextual data from emails, meetings, files, and calendars to autonomously complete tasks like meeting prep, research summaries, and pitch decks. Microsoft positions Copilot as model-diverse, supporting both OpenAI and Anthropic models. Security concerns are noted, including a recent prompt injection vulnerability that allowed file exfiltration from Claude Cowork, and user reports of files being deleted. Copilot Cowork is currently in Research Preview with broader rollout planned later in March.
