Microsoft's quality control has deteriorated significantly since 2014 when the company laid off many testers in favor of agile methodologies. Recent years have seen repeated issues including the Windows 10 October 2018 Update that deleted user files, frequent problematic Windows updates, and multiple Azure outages caused by faulty configuration changes. While some Windows issues may be understandable given the vast ecosystem, the recurring Azure production failures raise serious questions about Microsoft's competence in managing its own infrastructure.

Microsoft's lack of quality control is out of control

I expected better reporting than this. People writing without understanding software should not comment on the causes of lapses in quality control. I didn’t check who the author is, but this statement is wild and fully unsupported:

The issue has nothing to do with Agile. It has to do with a culture of testing, and as the linked article makes clear, it is that culture of testing that was eroded at Microsoft.
Does the author know that the Agile method is compatible with robust testing? This is such a trash take.

As the saying goes, “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me over and over again … well, I guess that makes me a Microsoft customer.”

Half assed article, the main point that quality has gone down is valid but blaming agile as a reason for it misses the whole point of agile’s testing steps.
