Microsoft has released Azure Linux 3.0.20260506, a security-focused update shipping fixes for a wide range of open-source packages including Avahi, GNU Binutils, libssh, Node.js, Ruby, the Linux kernel, Rust, and dozens more. Beyond security patches, the update improves QEMU live migration support, enables CONFIG_IKCONFIG_PROC for ARM64 kernel configuration, and adds Lua support to Wireshark builds. The release is available on GitHub. Separately, Microsoft is also exploring rebasing Azure Linux on top of Fedora.
