Microsoft is forcing Windows 11 PCs to 25H2 whether you're ready or not

Microsoft is preparing to force-install Windows 11 25H2 on all eligible Home and Pro consumer PCs running 23H2 or 24H2, six months after the update's October debut. The rollout is controversial because 25H2 still has unresolved issues including performance problems, broken native apps, and Microsoft account sign-in failures for Teams and Microsoft 365. Enterprise users are exempt. Users can only pause updates for up to five weeks via standard settings; more permanent blocks require registry or group policy edits. Windows 11 24H2 remains supported until October 2026, and critics argue Microsoft should use that window to stabilize 25H2 before pushing it to the masses.
