Microsoft builds on Recall with Gaming Copilot — fails basic privacy tests

Microsoft is rolling out Gaming Copilot to Windows 11 users without explicit consent or onboarding. The feature uses AI to capture gameplay screenshots and send data to Azure cloud endpoints for processing, similar to the controversial Recall feature. By default, it trains Microsoft's AI models on user text and screenshots, records conversations, and infers interests for personalization and potential advertising. The feature installs silently even when Copilot has been uninstalled, lacks privacy configuration options, and continues network traffic even when the UI is closed. This raises significant privacy concerns and introduces new attack surfaces to Windows 11 systems.
