Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has reaffirmed the company's commitment to gaming in an internal Q&A with new Xbox chief Asha Sharma. Nadella described gaming as one of Microsoft's core identities alongside its platform, developer, and enterprise roles, crediting gaming's influence on cloud, Windows, and GPU development. He stated Microsoft will 'always' invest in gaming and challenged the new leadership team to demonstrate excellence and creativity. The comments come after Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond departed Xbox, with Sharma taking over as Microsoft Gaming CEO. Sharma has also announced the next-gen Xbox console codenamed Project Helix, which will support PC games.
