Epic Games is discontinuing the MetaHuman Creator (MHC) web application over the course of 2026, with full shutdown on November 5, 2026. MetaHuman creation has been fully integrated into Unreal Engine since UE 5.6. The decommissioning happens in stages: older UE version support (4.27–5.1) drops April 5, 2026; UE 5.2–5.4 support drops June 5, 2026; and UE 5.5 support ends November 5, 2026. Users have a 90-day retrieval window after the final shutdown before their MetaHumans are deleted. Existing users should export their MetaHumans via Quixel Bridge or migrate them to MHC in UE 5.6+ following the provided migration guide. MetaHumans created in UE 4.27 cannot be upgraded or migrated.
