Meta is deploying an internal tool to capture employee mouse movements and keystrokes to use as training data for its AI models. The company says safeguards are in place to protect sensitive content and the data won't be used for other purposes. This follows a broader trend of tech companies mining internal corporate communications — including Slack archives and Jira tickets from old startups — as new sources of AI training data, raising significant privacy concerns.
