With these changes, users in the EU can choose to share information between apps or keep their accounts separate. Additionally, Messenger now offers a standalone option, enabling users to create a Messenger account independently from Facebook. Moreover, EU users will also have more freedom when it comes to Facebook Marketplace and Facebook Gaming. By providing users with more choice and control, Meta aims to comply with the DMA while empowering users to make informed decisions about their data privacy.</p>
