Meta has launched new anti-scam tools across WhatsApp, Facebook, and Messenger, including device-linking warnings on WhatsApp, suspicious friend request alerts on Facebook, and AI-powered scam pattern detection in Messenger. Simultaneously, Meta partnered with the FBI, US DOJ Scam Center Strike Force, Royal Thai Police, and other international agencies to disrupt Southeast Asian scam centers targeting users globally. The joint operation resulted in 21 arrests and the disabling of over 150,000 Meta accounts linked to scam networks.
