Bitbucket Cloud has launched an open beta for merge queues, available on Standard and Premium plans. The feature automatically sequences and validates pull request merges to keep the main branch green and production-ready. Teams can configure queues via Repository settings and a bitbucket-pipelines.yml section, enabling PRs to be validated against the latest branch state before merging. Key benefits include eliminating manual rebases, preventing semantic merge conflicts, and reducing broken builds in high-traffic repositories.
