Google Summer of Code 2026 is accepting mentor organization applications from January 19 through February 3, 2026. Organizations must have an established open source project with 18+ months of history, OSI-approved license, active community, and prepared mentors. Selected organizations will be announced February 19, with contributor applications opening March 16-31. The program particularly seeks projects in AI/ML and security domains.
