Mecha Comet is a modular, open-source Linux handheld computer crowdfunding on Kickstarter. The palm-sized device features a 3.92-inch AMOLED touchscreen and runs a Fedora-based OS called Mechanix with a touch-optimized GUI. Three magnetic snap-on modules transform it into a gaming device, development tool with GPIO access, or mini-computer with QWERTY keyboard. Available in two ARM-based configurations (NXP i.MX 8M Plus or i.MX 95), with pricing starting at $189.
