A contractor shares a story about modernizing a 1988 BASIC transformer design program into a web application. The technical work went smoothly, converting BASIC math to C# and building an Angular frontend. However, an IT director who attended a single meeting demanded the entire Angular frontend be rewritten in MVC because he didn't want to learn TypeScript and Angular, then never participated in the project again. The unnecessary rewrite wasted weeks of developer effort and exemplifies how management interference can derail otherwise successful projects.

My IT director also made MVC application but I added angularjs and made it Island application each module become small application its like Add/Edit/Delete one angularjs application with one contoller and one model. IT director still see it as razor sharp pages with just javascript but we have to scale the application soon I made it ready for .Net Core and waiting for taking place of IT director,

Wow, that is not surprising at all and reminds me of the poorly thought out plans that my bosses at work end up enacting and will then proceed to remove someone who is needed for the area to not go under… Then, I just smirk and scoff at the whole thing as one of my 3 tenders(straightener of packages so they are single file going through camera tunnel- UPS btw) is pulled from an area… 15mins later… “Why is PS4’s belts jogging”, says the person who just took away a vital person for that belt… smh… Mainly, I just refuse to wait there anymore and focus on my other areas and will just be like - oh, check out the camera’s , I am not up there - then think to myself… Guys, we have been through this 4x alone this week and it’s Wednesday… Think we can do it 3 more times at least??? Cuz, I love it…
