Mark Zuckerberg says engineers who joined Meta in-person perform better than those who joined remotely. Zuckerberg also suggests younger engineers perform better when they work with colleagues in- person for at least three days a week. The insights stem from a memo sent to employees earlier today, in which Zuckerberg revealed the company was cutting 10,000 jobs.

Yeah, I call bs. Too many studies performed that have said the complete opposite. I, for one, can say that in all of my career I am the most productive I’ve ever been working remotely from home.

The eternal demand for control and the ability to watch over your shoulder, what does “perform better” mean? Were they doing their work as by your deadlines before? If so that’s all that matters Zucc, stop trying to harass and bully people into overworking themselves.
I’m actually really offended by this, if you want to be a legacy boss who wants everyone stuck in an office so you can watch over their shoulder and make sure they’re “busy bees” go ahead and just say that, don’t sell me remote work in order to save yourself office rental fees and simultaneously get me stuck in a virtual office with you watching over my shoulder.
