Manticore Search 25.0.0 is released with several major improvements. The packaging model is simplified into a single `manticore` bundle package for deb/rpm. Key new capabilities include hybrid search combining full-text and vector retrieval in a single query, KNN prefiltering that applies attribute filters during vector search rather than after candidate selection, MySQL-compatible prepared statements for easier application integration, S3-compatible backup and restore supporting AWS S3, MinIO, Wasabi, and Cloudflare R2, and faster RT table maintenance via parallel chunk merging and N-way OPTIMIZE. Auto-embedding support is extended with API_URL/API_TIMEOUT controls, GGUF quantized local models, T5 encoders, and gated Hugging Face downloads. The release also includes 36 bug fixes covering query execution, replication, and SQL compatibility.
