Collabora, as a 1% for the Planet member, partnered with environmental NGO SOMAR to build a standalone XR experience using OpenXR and Monado. The app uses acoustic recordings from Portugal's Algarve to let users experience how underwater noise pollution affects marine life communication and feeding. Designed to run on both standalone headsets and Google Cardboard-compatible phones for broad accessibility, the project has already been presented publicly to positive reception.
