Anthropic's Claude for macOS and Windows now supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity, allowing makers to build hardware devices that integrate with Claude Cowork and Claude Code. As a demonstration, a desk pet was built on an ESP32 (M5StickCPlus) that reacts to Claude sessions — sleeping when idle, waking on session start, showing impatience when approval prompts are pending, and allowing approve/deny actions directly from the device. The firmware uses the Arduino framework and the M5StickCPlus library for display, IMU, and button drivers.
