London fintech Round closes $6M seed to run payroll

London fintech Round has closed a $6M seed round led by Alstin Capital, with Backed VC, Love Ventures, and angels including Indeed co-founder Paul Forster participating. Passion Capital doubled its pre-seed investment. Round automates treasury management, payments, payroll, and FX for finance teams at fast-growing companies like Cleo and PostHog. The funding coincides with two product launches: an Agentic Workflow Builder that lets finance teams describe automations in plain English, and Autonomous Payroll that handles the full payroll cycle end-to-end. The founders draw an analogy to Cursor's AI coding assistant, positioning Round as a tool that handles repetitive finance work without removing humans from key decisions.
