A pair of Linux kernel patches have been submitted to fix the GD-ROM driver, which powers Sega Dreamcast optical disc support. The fixes address a kernel oops caused by bad MMIO register access and missing block layer gendisk capacity updates that prevented ISO9660 mounts. After applying the patches, discs can be mounted and used normally. The patches were tested on real PAL-E and NTSC-J Dreamcast hardware as well as GDEMU emulated discs.
