Greg Kroah-Hartman, the main Linux stable kernel maintainer, has been using new fuzzing tooling called 'gregkh_clanker_t1000' to uncover kernel bugs. Starting with SMB/KSMBD code, the tool has helped produce a stream of patches over 48 hours touching USB, HID, F2FS, LoongArch, WiFi, LEDs, and more. The patches are accumulating in a dedicated 'clanker' Git branch, with each commit tagged 'Assisted-by: gregkh_clanker_t1000'. The name 'Clanker' is a slang term for AI/robots, and T1000 likely references the Terminator, suggesting the tooling has an AI component. No public repository for the tool has been found yet.
