37signals is making Linux the default for developers and system operators, replacing Apple. Linux has become a good developer platform despite its flaws. Apple is no longer recommended for people who care about the future of computing.

Switching to Linux has been one of the best decisions of my life.

I decided to switch to Linux due to economical reasons (not enough money for paying the Windows licences) and, even with the learning curve, I think it was a correct switch.
Now that I see where Windows is headed, I feel glad I switched over.

For most of my coding stuff i do not need apple silicon and my setup costs me 250 EUR. Before i had to spend at least ten times more.
Its fast, gnomes feels great and managing dependencies on OS level feels like the right thing for me!

I love using linux on my 5 year old laptop with 8GB of RAM, it is providing me better performance than when using windows.
I could run VS code, IntelliJ IDEA and other heavy softwares that couldn’t run on my machine when using windows. By the way I am using Ubuntu 24. And still, its better than windows.
