Linux 7.1 includes a workaround for a hardware bug in Arm C1-Pro CPUs (erratum 4193714, CVE-2026-0995). The bug causes a TLBI+DSB sequence to potentially fail to ensure completion of all outstanding Scalable Matrix Extension (SME) memory accesses, which could allow pages to be reused before in-flight accesses complete. The fix executes a DSB locally via IPI on all affected CPUs running with SME enabled after TLB invalidation. The workaround is configurable via the ARM64_ERRATUM_4193714 Kconfig option and is being back-ported to other stable kernel versions.
