Linux kernel 7.0 will enable Intel Transactional Synchronization Extensions (TSX) by default on capable CPUs not affected by TAA and similar vulnerabilities. SUSE has shipped kernels with TSX enabled for 6 years without issues, and newer Intel processors (Cooper/Ice Lake, Sapphire/Emerald/Granite Rapids) don't have the TAA
