Lightning Out 2.0 is now generally available in Salesforce's Winter '26 release, enabling developers to embed Lightning Web Components into external non-Salesforce applications. Built on Lightning Web Runtime and web standards, it uses iframe isolation for enhanced security and works seamlessly with frameworks like React, Angular, and Vue. The new version replaces the Aura-based Lightning Out Beta with a lighter, faster architecture that maintains secure connections to Salesforce data while allowing components to be reused across both Salesforce and external apps. Future updates will add support for unauthenticated access and Aura component compatibility.
