LG Display has unveiled 'Oxide 1Hz' technology that allows laptop panels to dynamically vary their refresh rate from 1Hz up to 120Hz. This variable refresh rate can save up to 48% battery life compared to traditional displays. Dell has already adopted the panel as the default option in its XPS laptop lineup. LG plans to begin mass production of a 1Hz OLED version of the technology by 2027, with potential expansion to external displays as well.
