Level Up: Test Sidekick and prepare for upcoming program milestones

Google Play has launched Play Games Sidekick, an in-game overlay giving players instant access to rewards, achievements, and AI-generated game tips, now available for testing in Play Console. The post also announces two new Play Console features: pre-registration device breakdowns for launch optimization and real-time feedback on promotional content quality for Level Up+ titles. Developers are reminded of upcoming Level Up program milestones: by July 2026, games must integrate Sidekick and Play Games Services achievements; by November 2026, cloud save must be implemented. Meeting these requirements is necessary to retain Level Up benefits such as Play Points offers, expanded APK size limits, and access to high-visibility surfaces.
