Harvey, an $8 billion legal AI startup, acquired Hexus, a two-year-old company building demo and guide creation tools. Hexus founder Sakshi Pratap will lead engineering efforts for Harvey's in-house legal department offerings. Harvey has raised $760 million in 2025 and serves over 1,000 clients across 60 countries, including most top U.S. law firms. The company originated from a 2022 cold email to OpenAI's Sam Altman after testing GPT-3 on legal questions, with the OpenAI Startup Fund becoming its second-largest investor.
