In case y'all didn't know, I love Elixir. Great language, community and ecosystem. That said...most of my work is clearly not in Elixir. What if I left it all behind? Dropping React, NextJS, TypeScript, tRPC, everything I'm known for? What about PHP, Rails, Gatsby, and Remix? Lots to talk about here

Leaving Everything Behind For Elixir

I think what many times dev miss is that each stage has its own “perfect stack”. When you just start working on a new product and all you care about is productivity, you may start with rails/laravel or any other batteries included framework. Once the product matures and you care about scalability, you’ll start thinking of migrating to languages such as go. But once you there, hopefully you have money to hire more devs.
Many successful companies gone through this journey and it’s inevitable. Each stage has different requirements, and different requirements require different solutions. Simple as that, no right or wrong
