The Rust Leadership Council is beginning its March 2026 representative selection process. Half of the council terms end every six months, and affected teams must confirm their representative choices by March 20, 2026. Representatives can be any member from top-level teams or subteams, with a limit of two people from the same company on the council. Teams are encouraged to rotate representatives after three terms to prevent burnout and spread experience.
