Night Street Games, the studio backed by members of Imagine Dragons, is laying off staff after its multiplayer shooter Last Flag failed to achieve financial success. The game launched on April 14 and received a Mostly Positive rating on Steam with 475 reviews, but player counts were insufficient to support continued development. Executive producer Jonathan Jelinek announced the layoffs on LinkedIn and is sharing profiles of affected developers seeking new roles. The studio plans to hand the game over to the community rather than shut it down entirely. The layoffs add to a growing wave of game industry cuts in May 2025, alongside Metacore, 2K, MercurySteam, and Survios.
