Laravel Job Market: My Mini-Research on AI Impact

A developer shares informal research on the Laravel job market and whether AI is disrupting developer employment. Based on surveys, community conversations at Laracons and meetups, and job board analysis (49 Laravel jobs reviewed), the findings show AI is not yet massively changing the Laravel job market. Most developers report being fine, though some individual cases of hiring freezes and freelance slowdowns exist. A notable finding is that Laravel has significantly fewer job postings than Python or React. The author attributes layoffs more to post-COVID economic corrections than AI, and advises developers to broaden their tech stack for career resilience.
