LAB14 GmbH, a German network of eight high-tech companies specializing in micro- and nanofabrication, has joined the MIT.nano Consortium. As part of the partnership, LAB14 will install two pieces of equipment at MIT.nano: a VPG 300 DI maskless stepper from Heidelberg Instruments capable of patterning sub-500nm structures in the cleanroom, and an EnviroMETROS XPS/HAXPES tool from SPECSGROUP for nondestructive thin-film depth profiling. The collaboration aims to accelerate innovation in nanoscale science by connecting MIT researchers with industry expertise.
