Cashfree, an Indian payments startup, has secured $53 million in its Series C funding round led by Krafton, valuing the company at $700 million. The funds will help Cashfree expand its presence in international markets, including the UAE. The Bangalore-based startup processes over $80 billion annually and supports 800,000 businesses. A notable part of its technology includes the ability to handle 12,000 transactions per second and a robust SecureID verification system. Cashfree is one of the few companies authorized by India's central bank to operate as a payment aggregator for domestic and international transactions.
