Ktor 3.4 introduces duplex streaming support for the OkHttp client engine, allowing simultaneous sending and receiving of HTTP data over HTTP/2 connections. The release adds an HttpRequestLifecycle plugin that automatically cancels in-flight requests when clients disconnect, supported on Netty and CIO engines. A new runtime API for dynamically documenting endpoints works with a compiler plugin to generate Swagger documentation from routing tree details. The Compression plugin now supports Zstd algorithm for fast compression with high ratios.
