Komodor has extended its AI SRE orchestration framework to support Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and the OpenAPI specification. This allows IT teams to orchestrate AI agents across hybrid IT environments beyond just Kubernetes clusters. The framework can now invoke third-party agents from the Komodor Marketplace for tasks like network/storage management, GPU provisioning, and CI/CD pipeline deployments. The company argues that as infrastructure grows with AI-driven application development, organizations cannot scale SRE headcount fast enough and must rely on AI agents — though human oversight remains necessary given current reliability limitations of AI agents.
