<h1>Unifying Elixir Development: Merging Lexical, ElixirLS, and Next LS</h1>
<p>I’m excited to announce that I, Mitchell Hanberg, have joined the official Elixir language server team. This collaboration brings me together with Jonatan Kłosko, Steve Cohen, and Łukasz Samson to work on an ambitious project: merging Lexical, ElixirLS, and Next LS into a unified Elixir Language Server.</p>
<h2>The Unified Project</h2>
<p>Our primary goal is to combine the strengths of Lexical, ElixirLS, and Next LS into a single, cohesive project. This would streamline development processes for Elixir developers and provide more comprehensive support. Once the transition is complete, Next LS will be archived, but elixir-tools will continue to support various open-source projects related to Elixir development.</p>

I founded elixir-tools to create superior Elixir developer tools and maintain several open-source projects, including Next LS, Spitfire, elixir-tools.nvim, elixir-tools.vscode, GenLSP, and Credo Language Server.</p>
