JobRunr, ClawRunr, and more with Ronald Dehuysser

Ronald Dehuysser, creator of JobRunr, discusses two projects at Spring IO Barcelona. ClawRunr (formerly JavaClaw) is an open-source Java-based personal AI assistant built on Spring AI and JobRunr, inspired by Open Claude. It uses MCP servers to monitor emails and WhatsApp messages, schedule recurring agent tasks, and draft responses. It supports multiple AI models (Claude, Gemini, Ollama) and uses Spring AI's dynamic tool search to reduce token costs. JobRunr also recently launched carbon-aware job scheduling for the US, using Electricity Maps data to run jobs during periods of low-carbon electricity, with a visual dashboard to validate scheduling decisions.
