JavaScript needs more money

I think open source is essential for software development but it’s not financially sustainable as now everyone who uses open source benefits from it but most contribute less than they take.

I prefer to leave it to the free market, not to the socialist stance: “Give us more money, or bad things will follow.”
If a project is viable for the survival of &lt;YYY&gt;, then the &lt;YYY&gt; will finance it. If not, then that project’s time has come.
