JDK 25 has entered Rampdown Phase One with 18 finalized features and is set to be the next LTS release in September 2025. The JDK 26 expert group has been formed with a March 2026 GA target. Hibernate Search 8.0.0.Final brings compatibility with Hibernate ORM 7.0 and improved DSL capabilities. Oracle Labs unveiled Project Crema, which will enable dynamic class loading in GraalVM Native Image applications.
