Apple retailer iStore has opened pre-orders for the new MacBook Neo in South Africa, priced at R11 999 for the 256GB model and R13 999 for the 512GB version. The MacBook Neo is powered by the A18 Pro chip (same as iPhone 16 Pro), features 8GB unified memory, a 13-inch Liquid Retina display, and up to 16 hours of battery life. At R7 000 less than the cheapest MacBook Air, the pricing positions it competitively against mid-range Windows laptops and Chromebooks. The 256GB base model lacks Touch ID, which is exclusive to the 512GB variant. Deliveries begin on 11 March.
